A group cancels four rooms at 11am on a Friday. Your pricing engine sees it immediately, but your prices don't move until the next scheduled sync, which might not run again until midnight. A same-day booking surge, a sold-out comp set, a group block landing unexpectedly, leaves rooms priced too low for the demand that's now clearly there. Either way, the cost isn't visible on a monthly report. It's the booking that didn't happen in the window between events and the next sync.

How Real-Time Sync closes that window

Real-Time Sync replaces the fixed schedule with an event-driven one. Instead of waiting for the next scheduled push, it uses webhooks from your PMS to detect specific events the moment they happen, and triggers an updated sync in response. Four kinds of events trigger it:

  • A new reservation
  • A cancellation
  • A change to a booking's dates or duration
  • A room block, for maintenance or a group hold

Not every property qualifies, and that's worth checking first

Real-Time Sync only works for properties connected through a webhook-enabled PMS. If your PMS doesn't support webhooks, the feature isn't available regardless of whether you'd want it, since there's no mechanism for PriceLabs to detect the trigger events in the first place. This is the first thing to check before treating same-day sync as available: not every hotel PMS integration supports it yet, and it's worth confirming your specific setup during PMS or channel manager integration rather than assuming it after the fact.

Properties in fast-moving markets, high cancellation volume, frequent group blocks, a lot of last-minute demand, get the most out of it; a property with a slow, predictable booking curve may not see enough same-day volatility to justify it.
